Tryout Schedule Update

Hockey Nova Scotia has determined that tryouts can begin September 15, 2023 and that league play will begin on October 14^th  for the 2023-24 season. 

U13AAA Tryouts

-       The following is a preliminary schedule, final will be posted by September 1, 2023. 

-       Each player will be guaranteed four (4) sessions with Stages 1 & 2 combined. 

(Note: Prior to COVID-19, there was a Spring ID that was used as Stage 1 and thus the reason for combining these stages in the fall for the 2023-2024 season).  

-       Following Stage 1 & 2, Each colour change in the below schedule represents a change in Stage and represents a likely decision point where the lists are updated for the following sessions.  

-       Some players may see their U13AAA tryout end at these points and be re-assigned to the U13AA/A/B groupings once posted. 

-       The overall lists can be updated following play on September 16th, again on September 17th, again on September 18^th, and so on, with players reassigned to U13AA/A/B tryout pool at these various stages.   

-       Some players may also be parked to U13AAA at any point along the process also if the Evaluation Committee deems fit to do so.

Other Competitive Division Tryouts

U11, U13 (AA, A, B), U15 and U18 schedules are well underway and we hope to post the final schedule by September 1st.   

Tentatively:

-       U13 will start September 22, 2023

-       U11 will start September 23, 2023

-       U15 will start September 24, 2023

-       U18 will start September 30, 2023  

We are waiting on confirmation of potential exhibition games and will release the preliminary schedules once those aspects are more firmly in place. These are tentative guideline dates at this point and are subject to change. Final communication will be emailed, posted to the website, and shared on social media channels.
