U13-AAA Head Coaching Update

The association would like to thank Rob Smith for his leadership and dedication as Head Coach of our U13 AAA team during the 2025–26 season. We appreciate the time and commitment he invested in our players and wish him all the best as he moves into an Assistant Coach role with the Valley Jr. A Wildcats.
We are also pleased to announce that Dave Byrne will return to the Bedford Blues as Head Coach of our U13 AAA program for the 2026–27 season.
Dave is well known to the association, having led our U13-AAA team to a Provincial Bronze Medal in 2024–25 before serving this past season as Head Coach of Hockey Nova Scotia’s U15 Boys High Performance Program.
With more than 25 years of coaching experience and Hockey Canada’s NCCP High Performance 1 certification, Dave brings a development-first approach focused on building well-rounded athletes. His philosophy emphasizes strong habits, hockey IQ, skill development, and competitive excellence, while preparing players for the transition to U15 Major and beyond.
Families can expect a structured, positive environment centered on development, compete level, accountability, and team culture. Most importantly, Dave is committed to supporting the growth and success of every player.
Please join us in welcoming Dave back to the Bedford Blues. We are excited to have him behind the bench for the 2026–27 season.
Welcome back, Dave!
