Volunteers needed December 27-29, 2024

Members,

We are less than 2 weeks away from our inaugural Rock the Rink event on December 14th at Greenfoot Energy Centre! The day will feature games from all levels (U9-U18) with music, face painting, retro swag and some exciting hockey! The association is asking everyone to bring a non-perishable food item for admission to support our association food drive this holiday season. 

If you didn’t order your retro swag already don’t worry there will be items available onsite to purchase (limited quantities). Also the swag store has been reopened and you can place an order now for pick up day of. Visit the store HERE.

Please find the day of schedule featuring 17 games. There will also be a ceremonial event at 4:45 pm on Pad C 

We cannot wait to see the stands, hallways and rafters filled with past, present and future Bedford Minor hockey players and families as we honour 50 years of playing hockey, the game we love!

Evaluations start Sunday, October 6th!

Dear Parents and Guardians,

As we move through the tryout phase for the upcoming season, I want to remind everyone of the importance of maintaining a positive and respectful environment for our players, coaches, and volunteers. To support this, Bedford Minor Hockey Association follows the "24-Hour Rule." We kindly ask that parents wait at least 24 hours after receiving any tryout-related news before reaching out to volunteers or staff with questions or concerns. This period allows time for reflection and ensures that all discussions are constructive and focused on the best interests of the players.

I also want to highlight that player movement between lists is a normal part of the tryout process. Just because a player may not appear on the first list does not mean they won’t have opportunities to move up. The evaluation process continues throughout tryouts, and players can be reassessed and moved as we work to place everyone in the position that best suits their skills and development.

We encourage all players to stay focused, give their best effort, and trust that the process is designed to support their growth. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in helping us create a supportive and fair environment for all.
