- Returning Members -
We are once again offering ONLINE REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT as part of Hockey Canada’s Registration (HCR) package. Please note that online registration will be available only to our returning members, new players must still register in person at our walk-in registration on August 12th and 19th from 6:30 to 8:30 at the Lebrun gym.
You can register online by going to the registration icon on our website or directly to the HCR website at: https://members.hockeycanada.ca/registration/?ID=2340 and simply following the registration instructions. There are a number of things to remember when completing your online registration; first you will have to create a “User Account” and secondly you must register each child separately to produce an acknowledgement / receipt for each. The “User Account” is strictly for your use – it is password protected and available only with your proper logon once it is set-up. Please take your time and carefully enter your registration information!! Please make sure you enter the correct spelling of your child’s name and date of birth entered in previous years, i.e., did you enter Ben or Benjamin? One item to watch… ensure that you enter the correct “Province” where required on each page as the system will default to “Alberta” each time if you do not use the ‘drop-down selection’ to choose Nova Scotia. The system has the provinces arranged alphabetically and “Alberta” is first on the list – if you do not change it - it will carry then “Alberta” as your province
As you complete the registration process the system will provide fees for general registration as well as a menu of other additional fees such as “Competitive Team Tryouts”, “Checking Camps”, “Female Placement” etc. Remember to add these fees to your registration to ensure that your child is properly registered for those additional areas. Please note this years registration fees includes the traditional ($200.00 per child) that the competitive teams collect for tournaments, extra ice and other costs when your child makes a team...
After you complete your online registration, the system will produce an acknowledgement / receipt for each player registered. Should you use the online payment system, you will receive a receipt which you must keep for tax purposes. We will not be permitted to issue copies of this receipt and will not be sending out year end receipts.
This online registration must be completed by August 11th, 2010. We are encouraging all returning members to register via the online system but are also providing the standard pre-registration form for download from our website (www.bedfordblues.com) should you wish to mail in your registration instead of registering online. Please check that the information you enter on the form is correct and that the form is postmarked no later than August 11th, 2010. You are not considered registered until we have received your payment in full. Incomplete forms will be returned to you by mail and any registration (received either online or by mail) received after August 11th, 2010, will be handled according to Article IX–Registration, of the B&DMHA Constitution (available on our website.) Article IX reads in part, “After the pre-registration deadline has passed, walk-in registration shall be conducted if space is available in the Association for new members and for existing members who missed the pre-registration, with preference given to those registering by the earliest date received.” The online registration system will indicate the exact day and time on which we receive them.
Returning players in Midget who intend to try out for Major Midget AAA or High School teams must register with B&DMHA online or by returning the pre-registration form with a postdated cheque (dated Sept 30th/ 10) by the August 11th, 2010 deadline. Payments for registrations made by credit card will be processed immediately. Midget registrations will not be processed until after High School and Major Midget teams are selected. All midget competitive players must go through tryouts in order to play for a competitive team.
- New Members and Returning Members Who Miss the August 11th, 2010 Deadline -
Walk-in registration for new members will be held from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, August 12th and 19th at the Gym in the LeBrun Center. You must bring a photocopy of the new player’s birth certificate, as well as his/her Health Card to the walk-in session in order to complete the player’s registration.
Returning members who have missed the August 11th, 2010 cut-off date will also have to register at this walk-in registration.
Please contact our Registrar, Terri Arsenault at terriarsenault@eastlink.ca or (902)446-0894 should you have any questions regarding registration.
- Late Fees and Waiting List -
NO PLAYER WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE ICE UNTIL THEIR 10/11 REGISTRATION IS PAID IN FULL
There will be a $100 processing fee for all late registrations received after August 19th, 2010. In addition, late registrations will be put on a waiting list if there is not room for additional players at that particular level.
Although your registration may be completed prior to the deadline, please note that registering a player for a particular position does not guarantee that space will be available for that position. B&DMHA tries to place all players within the association in the position of their choice but as has happened in the past, players may have to move to another position within the association or as a second alternative, to another association if the position (e.g. goaltender) of their choice is not available in B&DMHA.
- Outstanding Fees -
Any outstanding fees owed to the association must be paid in full for members to be considered “in good standing” and eligible to be registered for the upcoming year. If you have any questions, please contact our Treasurer, Steve Boyd at sboyd@terraingroup.com or 832-2283.
- Refunds -
Please refer to "Article IX-Registration" of the updated B&DMHA Constitution on the website for details.
